Why this exists
Most churches do not have a communications director. The website was built years ago by a volunteer who has since moved away, and nobody is quite sure who has the login. Meanwhile the people most likely to visit are forming an impression from a phone screen on a Saturday night.
The gap is rarely about effort or care. It is that nobody has looked at the site the way a stranger would, and there has been no straightforward way to get that perspective without hiring someone.
SteepleIQ exists to close that gap. Enter your website, get a score and a specific list of things to fix, in language that does not require a technical background.

Who built it
SteepleIQ is an independent project built by someone who spends their working life around churches and church technology, and kept running as a side project rather than a business.
Why it is free
Because the churches most likely to benefit are the ones least able to pay for a consultant. A small congregation with a neglected website gains more from a clear list of fixes than from being quoted a redesign fee.
If you want help working through your results, there is an option to book a short call at the end of every report. That is optional, and the report stands on its own without it.
Getting in touch
Corrections, disagreements with a result, or suggestions are all welcome. If a finding seems wrong for your church, it may well be, and that feedback improves the tool.
